Clickbank is a well known, trustworthy affiliate network. It is known as the best place to earn fast money as an affiliate. In fact, it is where most affiliates get started.  Clickbanks fee is very reasonable and the tools and services they provide are great. All new affiliates are recommended to join Clickbank to start their business.

Clickbank deals with electronic products which are downloadable on the internet. There is no requirement of any physical delivery. After you are registered with Clickbank as an affiliate, you can choose any product from the pool of available products to promote. There are more than ten thousand products currently available.
The sales commission offered by the merchants on Clickbank is usually very high and affiliates can make 50% per sale.

Thousands of affiliates have joined Clickbank and are earning an income on a regular basis. You shouldn’t hesitate in joining Clickbank if you want your business to take off!

Here are a few quick tips while working with Clickbank.

Use the Forums to Advertise Your Products

Search for some forums, at least three, that are related to your product with a high page ranking. Register on these forums and just start a discussion in the forum where maximum people are involved. Post your questions there or answer some questions of other members. Do not add any promotion text in the body of your posts. You are allowed to put your signature at the end of your post. Here is where you can put you name, your website link and your affiliate products link.
When you become an active member of this forum then you may get some traffic from these forums to your website. And you may know that when your website is getting the hits from some high rank website, then the page rank of your website is also increased. In this way you will get a double advantage. One is the traffic and second is the higher page rank. This will ultimately result in more sales of the products you are promoting.

Use Autorepsonders to Advertise Your Products by Email

In this day and age, most everybody uses email to contact others. Your email may be personal, study related, business oriented etc. But at the end of your email text you are allowed to write you signature. Don’t neglect this signature. With your name, remember to add your affiliate link at the end. It means that with every email your affiliate links are advertised. If you send out 100 emails daily, it means 100 additional people are looking at your affiliate link everyday.

Try to expand your contact list. Use as many methods as you can to grab the email addresses of new people. Use online forums, chat forums etc to make new friends. Your email list must contain a minimum of a few hundred contacts. DO NOT spam. Don’t send email to the people who don’t know about you or who don’t want to receive your emails. Otherwise your email will be blocked and you will lose your contacts. Your emails should always be interesting to get the reader’s attention.

Use Your Own Site To Advertise Your Products

Most affiliates of Clickbank have their own website to promote their products. So it is recommended to upload your own website. Your website should be related to the products you are promoting. For example if you are promoting some antivirus product, then your website contents must match this theme.

Try to make your website clean and simple. Add your affiliate links in every page of your website. Don’t put big ugly banners to advertise the products. Instead use 2 to 3 lines of text links to promote the Clickbank products.

Wrap Up

Clickbank is a popular affiliate network of digital products. You should start your business with Clickbank to become a successful affiliate. Try to use the forums, emails and your website to promote your Clickbank products for better results. Why Should I Buy Through An Affiliate Link?

Why Should I Buy Through An Affiliate Link?

I know this is a topic that many people are interested in and also many people tend to not want to purchase through someone else’ affiliate link.  Even other affiliate marketers are sometimes reluctant to purchase through someone else’s affiliate link?  Why is this?  Several Reasons…

  • Some people think they can purchase it for less if they do not go through an affiliate link.  This is just not true.  You will pay the same amount if you purchase directly from the vendor or through the affiliate who has helped you find the product you need.  The only exception may be if you are also an affiliate.  However, most affiliate marketing programs forbid affiliates from purchasing through their own affiliate links.  Others like Clickbank, severely frown on this practice.  An affiliate could even lose their affiliate account if this became a habit.  It is not worth the risk.
  • Others are simply opposed to giving the affiliate marketer their commission.  They know that this affiliate whose link they are going through might earn 15% of the sale and in some cases up to 75% of the purchase price.  If you are greedy, then you might think that is just too much for the affiliate to get.  However, consider the fact that the affiliate has actually done a lot of work to help you find the product.  They have found you and helped bring you and the product together.  They have put time and effort into designing a squeeze page, website, blog, review, product research, keyword research, search engine optimization, pay per click, and more.  They have invested money into Google Adwords, Web hosting, learning the newest marketing techniques, website design, copywriting, late nights, competing with other affiliates, and more.  Believe me, they have earned their commission.  Many of the links on this site are affiliate links, but they all lead only to excellent products that have been researched or personally purchased and used.
  • Still others think that the affiliate will walk away with their commission even if they are unsatisfied with the product.  That is not true.  The affiiliate does not get paid immediately.  They will not get paid until usually 30 days after the sale is complete, sometimes not until after the 60 day guarantee period is up.  If there is a refund, the affiliate will lose his or her commission, too.  That is one reason that most affiliates are unwilling to promote products that tend to have a high refund rate.  Affiliate marketers have a vested interest in only recommending the best products since their income depends on it.

So, there is really no downside to purchasing through an affiliate link.  If the product is good and the affiliate has done a good job promoting it and bring it to your attention, then reward him or her with their small commission.  In fact, you may even be building a relationship that will bring more good things to you.  We will discuss that in a later article.

Should You Have Your Own Affiliate Website?

Often when people decided to get started in affiliate marketing, they wonder if they should begin by building their own website.  For many people who have no skills in html, php, css, etc., they are frightened by this seemingly daunting task.  Even though it is easily learned and if you want to make a consistent living as an affiliate marketer, it is a good investment to make, it is not necessary.

Affiliate marketing is easy because it gives brand new online marketers like you the chance to market something online even without having your own product to sell.  You can simply sign up with an affiliate marketing program, like Clickbank or Commission Junction, and start choosing the products you want to promote.  As an affiliate or associate, you are paid by the merchant for your services on a commission basis, that is whenever you have referred a visitor to the merchant’s site and the visitor actually buys something.

Starting as an affiliate in an affiliate marketing company is often quick and easy, and for most affiliate programs, signing up is also free.  Many provide their own affiliate coaching and marketing tools you can use.  A lot of people are still hesitant to get into affiliate marketing despite this ease of entry.  One of the reasons why a lot of people remain hesitant is the lack of a website to start marketing his affiliate products with.  So let’s look at this issue of whether a website is required or necessary in affiliate marketing or not.

Many experienced online marketers will tell you that you can do affiliate marketing even without a website to start with.  Actually, one can really start promoting and marketing his affiliate products even without a website; and there exist a lot of ways on how this can be done.  In fact, many affiliate marketing strategies that leads to success can exist without actually needing a website.  Among these strategies are email marketing, article marketing, offline promotions, writing e-books, writing ezines and engaging in online discussions like forums, chats, message boards and others.

Affiliate Marketing Through Email

To be very honest, it is very difficult to build an email list without your own website and squeeze page where you can capture email addresses as people opt-in for your free offer.  Email marketing, or maintaining email lists, is actually the most popular affiliate marketing strategy that doesn’t require the affiliate to maintain a website.  In this affiliate marketing strategy, what you basically do is maintain a list of the email ads of your prospective customers and provide them with articles that are relevant with the affiliate products and programs you are promoting.  Articles that you provide your contacts with need not always be promotional, for many individuals find such types of email annoying.  Rather, it would be better if you provide them with something informative and just add small text ads that link to your merchant’s site.  To be very honest, it is very difficult to build an email list without your own website and squeeze page where you can capture email addresses as people opt-in for your free offer.

Affiliate Marketing Through Promoting Products Offline

There are many ways on how you can promote your affiliate products offline.  I would suggest you sign up for a free account at VistaPrint and begin getting free business cards, post cards, yard signs, etc. with your affiliate links to leave in high traffic areas.  Among the common medium used for such promotions are classified ads, brochures and flyers.  Classified ads would generally work better compared to the other two because classified ads in periodicals often get a wider audience.  I would

Affiliate Marketing through Writing Ebooks to Give Away for Free

Just write on a subject you already know about, or do some web research and find a subject you can put together some free and valuable information about.  People love to get free gifts and especially if you have valuable information inside that they are interested about whether it is about dog training, raising geraniums, fixing cars, or making money.  Be sure to include some links to your affiliate offers inside.  If you have a knack in writing, writing an e-book can be the best way for you to promote your affiliate products in the absence of an actual website.  Just like in emails and newsletters, your readers would better appreciate your e-book if it is not too promotional but rather informative.  Be sure, however, to make the contents of your e-books relative to the actual affiliate products you are promoting.  And just like in email marketing, you can just place text ads or banners somewhere near the end of your e-book that links to the merchant’s site.

Affiliate Marketing through Writing Ezines to Give Away

If you have an ezine about an area of interest, or a hobby that someone is intereted in, people will look forward to your weekly or monthly e magazine.  Ezines are publications or articles that aim to inform individuals about a particular topic.  If you don’t have a website and yet want to be an affiliate, you can well use ezines to promote your affiliate products or to insert links to your merchant’s site.  If you have a website, your ezine article may actually work well as content for your site.  But since you have no website, you can just submit your free ezine articles to various websites that hosts ezines, like goarticles.com, ezinearticles.com and others.

Affiliate Marketing by Using Online Discussions (Forums, Chats, Message Boards, etc.)

I have to be honest that I have not had much success with this.  I just do not really enjoy spending time in the Forums.  However, I know that many people do this almost exclusively and do very well.  With or without a website, you just can’t ignore online discussions because they are great venues for marketing your affiliate products.  In chats, forums, message boards and discussion boards with topics related to your products, you can easily find people who may be interested with the products you are promoting.

There are plenty of great strategies that do not require a website.  It could appear that you really doesn’t need to have a website to start marketing his affiliate products and promoting his affiliate programs.  Well, starting in an affiliate program without a website may be easy, but getting SUCCESSFUL in affiliate marketing without a website is different.  While one can actually gain enormous success in affiliate marketing even without a website, it is a rare instance that “newbies” like you can reach the same levels of success.

Do not wait to have your own website before you get started in affiliate marketing.  You can use the strategies listed above.  Having a website is not really a pre-requisite in entering into an affiliate program, unless otherwise the program owner would require you to have one.  But while this is so, I would still recommend that you have for yourself a website, if not now, then maybe at a later time.  Having a website creates a lot of advantages in affiliate marketing.  For one, it provides you a place where you can creatively promote not only one of your affiliate products but all of your affiliate products.  With a website, you can also advertise your affiliate products to a wider market.

Again, having a website is not a requirement in affiliate marketing.  But with the advantages that a website can provide, I’d rather have one for myself and make affiliate marketing a lot easier for me.

If you would like some great affiliate coaching advice, I would go to www.MentoringMoneyMakers.com my affiliate site, look for the link to the affiliate page at the bottom, and sign up for the free affiliate resources.  You will find some of the most valuable affiliate marketing training videos I have seen and they will teach you a lot about both online and offline affiliate marketing.  Best of all, that training is free!

Outsell Other Affiliates The Easy Way

If you’re an affiliate marketer, then you’re always looking over your shoulder to see if the competition – your fellow affiliates – are catching up to you.  Or, worse than that, you’re looking up ahead trying to catch up with them!

At times any market can be crowded, so selling the same thing to the same group of people means you’re lucky to get just a small share of the market.  Imagine having thirty-five Wal-Mart stores in one small town, all competing with each other to get the local business.  You get the idea.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.  The easiest way to outsell other affiliates is this…

Turn your AFFILIATE offer into a UNIQUE offer!

You see, most affiliates try to sell the product as is. If your prospects are shopping around, they’re going to skip all the “buy from me” offers.

Instead, they’re going to focus on those offers that give them an incentive to buy. And that means you can outsell the other affiliates simply by offering a bonus product to anyone who buys through your affiliate link.

I’ve been teaching this concept since 2001 and, all things being equal, those affiliates who put this into practice will outsell those who don’t virtually 100% of the time.

It’s a very simple strategy.  Let’s break it down into three steps…

Step 1: CHOOSE Your Incentive

Your goal is to make your offer stand out from the crowd by offering an incentive to buy from your link, thereby boosting your conversion rate. And that means you need to offer a bonus that enhances or otherwise complements the affiliate product.

Did you catch that?  Your bonus should “enhance” or “complement” the product you are promoting as an affiliate.  That’s what makes for the best incentive.

————- Case Study ———–

Let me give you a “real” case study (not made up … actually done by one of my customers).

A customer – who is also one of my affiliates – recently purchased my Multiple Streams Theme wordpress blog theme.  He loaded it to his site.  Then, he invested a little time writing a small report that teaches how to customize and tweak the theme.  He offered this small report, filled with insider shortcuts and tips for enhancing the theme, as an incentive to anyone who ordered the Multiple Streams Theme through his affiliate link.

Brilliant.

I’m just guessing, but I bet the report didn’t take him half an hour to write.  He just logged his own personal experiences.  And yet it has high value to anyone who has plans to order the theme.

That’s how you outsell other affiliates.  You turn your AFFILIATE offer into a UNIQUE OFFER.

————- Case Study ———–

One way to do this is by reading the sales letter for the product and choosing one particularly enticing bullet point.

Example #1: If the sales letter tells prospects they can learn how to get traffic from social media sites, then you can create a report called “27 Ways to Use Social Media to Drive Traffic to Any Website!”

Example #2: If the sales page for a diet book promises a month of low calorie recipes to customers, you can create a supplementary low calorie recipe book and give it away to those who buy from your link.

Example #3: If you’re promoting a dog training book and you see a bullet point about eliminating bad behaviors such as jumping, incessant barking, digging in the gardening, etc. You can create a report or even a video called, “The Secrets of Training the Perfect Dog: How to Keep Your Dog’s Paws Off Your Guests, Off Your Counters and Out of Your Garden!”

The point is, your freebie should be directly related to the affiliate offer. You want your prospects to buy through your link just because the incentive is so enticing.

What kind of incentive?  You can do videos, software, coaching, advertising, installations, services, etc.

But, “pound for pound”, the best and easiest incentive to create is a small report.

Step 2: CREATE Your Incentive

Once you decide on the topic, your next step is to create the bonus product. If you’re creating a short report or video, you can probably finish it in one day. Otherwise, you can hire a trusted freelancer to do it, which frees your time to focus on marketing the offer!

Tip: You find ghostwriters on sites like WarriorForum.com, Elance.com, and GetAFreelancer.com. You can also ask for recommendations from your colleagues via your social networks or on business forums.

Step 3: CIRCULATE Your Incentive.

Finally, your last step is to promote your offer by letting prospects know that anyone who buys the affiliate product using your link will get the bonus product.

Let your list know.  Tell your blog readers.  Tweet about it.  Purchase advertising.  Distribute free marketing materials such as ezine articles.  Mention it in sig files at forums.  You know the drill.

Now, there are a few ways to deliver the product:

1.  On the download page. If you’ve developed a relationship with the product vendor, he may agree to set up a special sales page that promotes the bonus plus a special download page so that customers can download it instantly after purchasing.

2.  Manually. You can have customers forward their receipts and then you send them the link to the bonus.

3.  Automatically. You can also set up a special email address with an autoresponder, so that anyone who sends you a receipt gets the download link automatically. (Naturally, some people will try to “cheat” this system.)

And there you have it – the simple three-step strategy you can use to outsell your competitors and put more money in your pocket.

It’s so easy you could be making more money by tomorrow… if you get started today!
